SACO – Lorraine A. Lamarre, 81, of Pine Street, Saco, went to eternal rest late Sunday, Jan. 4, at her residence.

She was born in Lewiston, June 22, 1927, the daughter of Rodolphe and Dorothy McAllister Fortier. She attended Lewiston schools and then worked at various mills in that area.

She moved to the Saco area in 1959. She worked for Components in Biddeford, Ames Department Store and most recently as a home health care provider.

She enjoyed animals and traveling. In her travels, she was able to see such places as Paris and Hawaii and she cherished her cat Moose.

She was a member of Most Holy Trinity, Good Shepherd Parish of Saco.

She is survived by three sons and their wives, Robert G. and Nancy Lamarre of Gardiner, Daniel P. and Deborah Lamarre and Brian J. and Stacey Lamarre of Saco; three daughters and their husbands, Linda A. Cyr and Roger of Saco, Diane P. Libby and Jack of Kennebunk and Reina E. Collard and Peter of Arundel; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Carmelle Belanger of Lewiston; cousin, Ginny McAllister Timberlake of Mechanic Falls; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Lamarre.

She was predeceased by her husband, Emilien G. Lamarre; a son, Lawrence E. Lamarre; and three grandchildren, Lawrence E. Lamarre II, Melonie J. Lamarre and Angela M. Cyr.
