RUMFORD – Elizabeth M. Waite, 42, of Mexico, died unexpectedly at Rumford Hospital on Dec. 19.

She was born Aug. 4, 1966, in Rumford, the daughter of James and Jacqueline A. Waite of Mexico.

She graduated from Mexico High School and Mid-State College in Auburn.

Elizabeth was currently employed with Maine Oxy in Auburn. She was previously employed as a long-haul truck driver and also worked for C.N. Brown as a driver.

She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Mexico.

Elizabeth was a member of both the River Valley Riders and the Roxbury ATV clubs.

She enjoyed her family and spending summers at the family camp. She especially enjoyed kayaking and playing horse shoes with her beloved nieces and nephews.

Her two pet birds, “Rosie” and “Isabella,” brought her much enjoyment.

She is survived by her parents, James A. and Jacqueline A. Waite of Mexico; a brother, William J. Waite and wife, Carole A., of Milton Township; a sister, Kathryn A. Billings and husband, Dennis E., of Milton Township; two nieces, Brittany Heikkinen and husband, Joe, of Mexico, and Amber Billings of Milton Township; a nephew, Eric Billings of Milton Township; and several aunts and uncles, along with many cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved grandmother, Obelin Waugh, with whom she adored spending many hours playing games. She was also predeceased by her grandfather, William Waugh, who fondly nicknamed her “LTLBITS.”
