SCARBOROUGH – Jacqueline Bousquet, 78, of Falmouth, passed away after a long illness on Dec. 4, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston, on March 10, 1930, the daughter of Robert J. Rivard and Octavia Moussette.

Her entire life was devoted to loving and caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She demonstrated her love for them through her artistry in baking, cooking and decorating her lovely home in Falmouth. She found time throughout her life to serve both her community and her church.

She was a Girl Scout leader, president of the St. Mary’s Regional Hospital Auxiliary, president of the Holy Family Parish Council, an RCIA instructor, and a eucharistic minister at Holy Family Church in Lewiston and Holy Martyrs Church in Falmouth.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph; two daughters, Claire Comstock of Boston and her husband, Henry, and Lisa Bousquet of Falmouth; one son, David of Peabody, Mass., and his wife, Paula Gardner Bousquet; three grandchildren, Colleen McManus of Boston, and Danny and Andy Bousquet of Peabody; one sister, Jean Fraser of Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Cecile Leveque of Lewiston.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Richard Swanson and his colleagues at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Dr. Frederick Aronson and staff at the Maine Center for Cancer Medicine, the staff at the Gibson Pavilion at Maine Medical Center and the hospice team at the Gosnell House in Scarborough for the professional and compassionate care she received during her illness.
