FARMINGTON – Matteo Duane Hanson, 17 months old, died on Saturday, Nov. 29, in the emergency room at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 24, 2007, in Farmington, the son of Duane D. Hanson and Brandy S. Swett. Described by his mom as a happy baby, he loved to play with his big sister, Keeshia, and his cousins, Noah and Dominic.

His favorite word was his sister’s name. A typical little boy, he loved playing with balls and would run and grab the legs of his parents and grandparents, wanting to play and be close to them. He was lovingly called “Little Miguel.”

He is survived by his mom, Brandy Swett of East Dixfield and his dad, Duane Hanson of Livermore; his sister, Keeshia Hanson of East Dixfield; his maternal grandparents, Roxanne and David Swett of East Dixfield; maternal paternal great-grandmother, Shirley Swett of Mexico; maternal paternal great-great-grandmother, Doris Swett of the Rumford Community Home; maternal maternal great-grandfather, Rudy Parlin of Livermore; paternal grandparents, Richard and Stephanie Hanson of Livermore; paternal paternal great-grandmother, Nellie Hanson of Livermore; and paternal maternal great-grandfather, John Hutchinson of Turner.
