LEWISTON – Armand I. “Clem” Clement, 87, formerly a 50-year resident of Baird Avenue, died Sunday, Nov. 30, at Marshwood Nursing Home peacefully surrounded by family.

He was born in Manchester, N.H., on Feb. 24, 1921, the son of Frederick and Roseanna (Cormier) Clement. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific aboard the USS Alhena AK-26. He was the husband of the former Georgette P. Samson, who died on Aug. 28, 2004.

He was the owner of Northeast Electronics and the former Pine Street Toy and Hobby Shop. He was a member of the VFW, and amateur radio operator, K1GPJ, he also enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, traveling with his wife and was a former Navy jitterbug dancing champion. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

He is survived by one son, Paul Clement of Turner; one daughter, Ruth and her husband, James Agoglia, of Brockton, Mass.; two grandsons, Christopher Agoglia and his wife, Rebecca, of Worcester, Mass., and David Agoglia of Brockton, Mass.

He was predeceased by one sister, Jeannette Gagne; and one brother, Robert Clement.
