FARMINGTON – Ruth N. Hall, 77, of East Wilton, passed away on Nov. 22, after a short stay at Orchard Park Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was born on March 17, 1931, in Farmington, the daughter of Joel K. and Beatrice M. (Ferguson) Fletcher. She graduated from Wilton Academy in 1949, where she was a glee club member.

She was a homemaker and raised eight children. In Nov. 29, 1976, she married Lyle Hall of East Wilton, he passed in April of 1988. She was a member of the Sunshine Society of Wilton, a devoted member of the East Wilton Union Church. In her life she enjoyed baking, reading, gardening and won many awards for her fine crocheting, needlework and other crafts. She was known for her frugal nature which her family atttributes to her Scottish heritage. A highlight in her late life was when she had the opportunity to travel to Scotland with family members.

Survivors include seven daughters and a son, Bonny B. Trask and husband, Jeff, of North Jay, Susan L. Dolan and husband, Tom, of Topsham, Maxine R. Brown and husband, Dennis, of East Wilton, Hazel Doiron Shorey and husband, Jeff, of North Yarmouth, Deborah J. Dubord and husband, Gary, of Fayette, Carolyn A. Greeley and husband, Steve, of North Jay, John W. Brown and wife, Theresa, of East Wilton and Alvira R. Brown of East Wilton; 15 grandchildren, Danielle, Michelle, Seth, Ian, Nate, Ben, Jesse, Colleen, Joan, Nolan, Jarad, Megan, David, TJ and Luke; 11 great-grandchildren, JC, Chrissy, Olivia, Cary-Rea, Emma, Ally, Emilie, Dayna, Damien, Wyatt and Aidan.

She is predeceased by her husband Lyle; infant daughter, Rebecca; grandson, Steve; brother, Gordon; and a son-in-law, Darrell.
