CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Harlan F. Spiller Sr., 84, of Cape Coral and formerly of Naples, Fla., passed away Thursday, Nov. 13.

He was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Lewiston, a son of the late Murray L. and Orissa Goodwin Spiller. He was the founder of Harlan Spiller Co., in Naples, Fla., and retired in 1974.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as pilot instructor and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a former Rotarian.

He is survived by his son, Harlan (Mary) Spiller Jr., of Cape Coral, Fla.; four grandchildren, Rodney and Harlan Spiller III and Jennifer and Kimberly Walker; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; and a daughter, Donna Walker.
