BANGOR – Valerie Tainter Carr, 37, of Bangor, and formerly of Winthrop, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 6, at her home in Bangor.

She was born in Augusta on Feb. 2, 1971, the daughter of Donald and Carol Tainter. She grew up in Winthrop, graduating from Winthrop High School in 1989.
