LEWISTON – Kathleen L. Astephen, 62, of Gamage Avenue, Auburn, died Saturday, Oct. 18, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a short illness.

Born in Natick, Mass., on Sept. 28, 1946, she was the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Wilkey) Larnis. After a short nursing career, she taught elementary school for most of her life.

She was a member of Christ Temple Church of God in Christ .

She enjoyed reading and cooking.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Kay and her husband, Christopher MacKneer, of Pennsylvania; four sons, Stephen and his wife, Jade Astephen, and Robert Astephen, all of California, Jason Astephen of North Carolina, and Daniel Astephen of Lewiston; and four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by both her parents.
