NORWAY – Marie (Blanche) Richard, 93, of Norway, died Friday, Oct. 17, at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, with her loving family by her side.
She was born at Fort Kent on Sept. 9, 1915, to Frank and Ozite (Paradis) Losier. She was educated in Berlin, N.H., at St. Regis Academy. Marie was a homemaker, worked in local shoe shops and Cornwall Wood Products for many years. She enjoyed her paintings and loved art.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Norway, St. Catherine’s Guild and Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She married Donaldo Richard, who passed away in 1978.
Marie is survived by a daughter, Elaine and her husband, Peter Montpelier, of Norway; a son, Ray Richard and wife, Jane, of East Vassalboro; grandchildren, Shelly Shibles, Pam Montpelier, Richard Montpelier, Sue Leighton, John Richard, Jimmy Richard and David Richard; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Kobylinski, Freda Pomerleau; and a sister-in-law, Lillian Lauzier.
