A Mass of Christian Burial for Gilman E. “Frenchy” Sirois was celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, at Parish of the Holy Savior (St. Athanasius & St. John Catholic Church). The Rev. Sylvio Levesque was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Ave Maria,” and “Amazing Grace.” Readings were done by his daughter Linda Whitmore. A eulogy was given by his son Daniel Sirois during visitation. The eulogy was given by son-in-law, Bob Lemay. Pallbearers were Jason Sirois, Phil Smith, Tim Sirois, Roger Boucher, Andre Cloutier, and Kelly Madore. Military Honors were by the Marine Military Funeral Honors Program, Augusta. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall.
