LEWISTON – A memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring Hilda Parent was held Friday at Holy Family Church. The celebrant was the Rev. Nathan March, who concelebrated the Mass with the Rev. Normand Charpentier. Readers at Mass were Hilda’s grandsons, Kevin, Jason, and Michael Juneau. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Hilda’s great-grandchildren, Zach Juneau and Raquel Miller. A poem was then read by Amy Juneau in honor of Hilda. A delegation from the Ladies of St. Anne were also in attendence. At the conclusion of services at church, the family formed a reception line, where those in attendence greeted the Parent family with their own personal condolences. The funeral procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery traveled past the Parent family residence on 28 Jean St., in Lewiston as a final tribute to Hilda. After committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery by Father Charpentier all were then invited to Hilda’s favorite restaurant, the Hunan House in Auburn for a reception of fellowship. Arrangements by Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel, Auburn.
