LEWISTON – Blanche F. (Gagnon) Field, 85, formerly of Ferry Road, Lisbon, died on Monday, Oct. 6, at Marshwood Center for Health Care, where she had resided the past 10 years.

She was born in Greene, May 31, 1923, the daughter of the late Edouard and Georgianna Therrien Perreault. She was educated in Greene schools and attended Lewiston High School. She had worked at Kresge’s Department Store, Jolly Post Caterers and Stride-Rite shoes and later as a homemaker, raising her children.

She was married to Edward Field, who predeceased her April 19, 1989.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Church formerly Ste. Anne’s Church in Lisbon, the Left Hand Club, Lisbon Senior Citizens and Horizon 55. She was also a former ward clerk in Lisbon. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bingo, watching wrestling and the Celtics on T.V. She especially enjoyed the visits from her great-grandchildren, the past few years.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Gagnon of Lisbon; three sons, Leo Gagnon and his wife, Esther (Yoder), of Turner, Arthur Gagnon and wife, Thelma, of Lewiston and Roger Gagnon of Mechanic Falls; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fern Larock of Auburn and Rita Beaulieu of Sabattus; also nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sons, Robert and Ray Gagnon; a grandson, Kenny Gagnon; a sister, Fleurette Lachapelle; and two brothers, Edward and Wilfred “Wolf” Perreault.
