Lewiston – Germaine M. Carville, 85, of 20 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, July 24, 1923, the daughter of the late Damien and Alma Beaulieu Michaud. She was educated at St. Mary’s Parochial School, graduated from Lewiston High School and attended Bliss Business College. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a secretary at the Roux Insurance Agency in Lewiston.

She enjoyed traveling and the special times she spent with her grandchildren and holidays. She would always find some outlandish costume or hat to make us all laugh.

She is survived by a daughter, Gail M. Carville and her husband, Peter Kowalski, of Turner; a son, Paul Carville; four grandchildren, Yuri and Ruth-Anne Kowalski and Ashlyn and Wesley Carville.
