LIVERMORE – Funeral services with full military honors was held Monday for Herbert A. Johnson at Wayside Bible Baptist Church in Livermore. Officiating was the Rev. Dan Corff. Soloist Carolyn Viger sang “Finally Home” and hymns “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art” were also sung accompanied by organist Aileen Gatz. Members of the Maine National Guard were present and representatives of the VFW, Post 3335 of Jay colorguard included Palmer Hebert, Wally Tripp, and Roland Therrien and firing squad members Harvey Sabin and George Hood. Pallbearers were Mark Holt, Don Leclerc, Paul Downing Sr., Pat Downing, Paul Downing Jr. and John Trafton. Interment was Lakeside Cemetery in Livermore. Arrangements by Finley Funeral Home.
