Lewiston – Rita R. Sargent, 74, formerly of Swale Lane, died on Saturday, Aug. 2, at D’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Auburn on Dec. 27, 1933, a daughter to the late Tancrede and Rose (Blouin) Pomerleau. She was educated in local schools and graduated from St. Dom’s. She worked for many years as a supervisor at Liberty Mutual. She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading and bowling.

She leaves a sister, Cecile Levasseur of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rodney Sargent, in 2007.
