SMYRNA, Ga. – Elizabeth Bowie, 28, of Smyrna, Ga., formerly of Suwanee, Ga., passed away on Thursday, July 31.

She was born Dec. 2, 1979, in Androscoggin County. She was a 1997 graudate of North Gwinnett High School and a graduate of Georgia State University, where she received her master’s degree. She was a seventh grade teacher with Marietta City school system. She was a member of Shadowbrook Baptist Church in Suwanee, Ga. She was more than a sister, daughter, granddaughter, niece and friend. She was that piece of our heart that made us smile each day. She was that breath of fresh air we took in. She had a heart of gold. There wasn’t a day that passed without her generosity brightening everyone’s day. With the moments that pass, she will be deeply missed and richly remembered. We have joy and rejoice in knowing that she now dances and bows for her King in Heaven.

She is survived by her parents, Jeffrey and Becky Bowie of Suwanee, Ga.; a sister, Hannah Bowie of Suwanee, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Joshua and Kathleen Bowie of Suwanee, Ga.; nephew, Joshua Weston Bowie of Suwanee, Ga.; maternal grandparents, Richard A. and Sylvia Brophy of Livermore Falls; paternal grandparents, Frank and Lucille Bowie of Durham; aunts and uncles, Roxanna Brophy and Peg Cyr, Jesse, Jacob and Dipesh, Robyn and Butch Brochu, Richard Brophy II, Betsy and John Talbot, Andrew, Patrick, Karen and Eric Bowie; cousins, Jeffrey and Toni Brochu, Katie Brochu, Thomas Brochu, Crystal and Jackson.
