EUSTIS – Claude Everette Smith, 56, of Eustis died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 19.

He was born in Farmington, Feb. 12, 1952, the son of Lewis E. and Geraldine A. (Savage) Smith. He graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1971.

He worked for the Maine D.O.T. Division Seven in Farmington, before going on to drive for other employers and most recently to own and operate his own truck.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, four-wheeling and many other outdoor activities.

He is survived by his parents; his wife, Mona; his daughter, Tiffany Smith and her companion, Michael Ogden, of Mechanic Falls; his son, Gregory Smith of Avon; his son, Paul Smith and his companion, Sarah Ogden, of Mechanic Falls; three stepchildren, Benjamin Pike, Alison LaMarche and her husband, Christopher, and Jodi Pike; four grandchildren, Joshua, Marissa, Hannah and Jason; a stepgranddaughter, Abigail; a sister, Debbie Brown and her husband, Randy, of Jay; a brother, Mark Smith and his wife, Debbie, of Weld; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
