LEWISTON – Lionel L. LaChapelle, 85, of Greene, died July 10, at d’Youville Pavilion.

He was born on May, 7 1923, to William and Eva (Bernatchez) LaChapelle in Lewiston.

He was a heavy equipment mechanic and in business for 50 years.

He survived by his daughter Rita Begin and her husband Gil, his sons Lionel LaChapelle, Louis LaChapelle and his wife Geraldine, his grandchildren: Toby, Randy, John, Lisa, Laurie, Tracy and Richie as well as 5 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Medora LaChapelle, who passed away Dec. 4; his mother; father; and brother, Eugene LaChapelle.
