MINOT – Elaine M. Godin Audet, 47, of 46 Blossom Drive, Minot, died Thursday, July 3, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer with her family at her side. Born in Lewiston Oct. 18, 1960, daughter of Richard and Constance Berube Godin, she was educated in Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1980.
She was a member of the Auburn Catholic Community at Sacred Heart Church and worked for over 20 years at Pioneer Plastic as a paper sorter.
She enjoyed camping, arts & crafts and celebrating life with her family.
She loved being a mom to her son, Malcolm, and David’s wife.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her kindness, gentleness, sense of humor, strength of spirit and her tenacious battle with breast cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, David S. Audet of Minot, whom she married May 4, 1984; her son, Malcolm D. Audet of Minot; her mom and dad, Richard and Connie Godin of Lewiston; two sisters, Diane Letourneau and husband, Dan, of Lewiston and Michelle Binette and husband, Jude, of Lewiston; three brothers, Dan Godin and Lysa Russo of Connecticut, Thomas Godin of Florida, Michael Godin and Christina Gillespie of Norway; her mother-in-law, Laura Audet of Auburn; her sisters and brothers-in law, Brenda and Moe Cote, Shirley and Ray Biron, Bruce and Louise Audet, Darlene and Frank Roy, Brian Audet and many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the loving nurses who cared for her during her illness, especially during her final days, Betty Brown, Judy Theriault & niece, Lisa Letourneau.
Elaine will be dearly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
