RUMFORD – Stephanie Perry, 88, formerly of Beech Street, Rumford, died Tuesday, June 24, at Rumford Hospital.

She was born in Mexico on Oct. 10, 1919, a daughter of Hipolit and Catherine (Stankiewiez) Sadowski.

Stephanie was a 1937 graduate of Stephens High School.

She married Onesime Perry on July 31, 1942. He passed away on May 28, 1995.

Stephanie was a communicant of St. Athanasius & St. John Catholic Church.

She enjoyed crafts and was especially known for her knitted slippers.

She is survived by a son, Thomas Perry, and wife, Jane, of Brunswick; a brother, Harry Sadowski of Treasure Island, Fla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Elizabeth Sage; sisters Wanda DeGregario, Gladys Wynne, Sophia Hersey and Alexandra Powell; and a brother, Edward Sadowski.
