LEWISTON – A funeral Mass celebrating the life of Ovide A. Routhier was held on Wednesday at Holy Cross Church after prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Lionel Chouinard celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of Mass, the pall was placed on the casket by Armand and Arthur Routhier and the crucifix was placed on the pall by Rita Nadeau. During Mass the readings were read by Michael Routhier and Jean Gilbert. The offertory was brought to the altar by Matthew and Zachary Roy and Hakim NBigui. Words of remembrance were expressed by Jean Gilbert and Roland Fortin. Pallbearers were Michael and Jason Routhier, James Roy, John Dube, Roland Fortin and Jean-Luc Gilbert. A reception of fellowship was held at the Chickadee Restaurant in Lewiston after the committal prayers at the cemetery. Arrangements by the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.
