FARMINGTON – Barbara J. White, 80, a resident of Main Street in Jay, died Wednesday, June 18, with her loving family at her side after a brief illness.
She was born on March 18, 1928, in Jay, the daughter of Chester and Nettie (Harlow) Coolidge and attended Jay High School.
On March 17, 1945, she married Kenneth White in Livermore Falls. She was a longtime member of the Jay Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, sports, and watching the Red Sox with her husband and holding hands. She also attended all of her great-grandson’s Leavitt Hornet football games.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Kenneth of Jay; a son, Brian White and his wife, Deidra, of Monmouth; a daughter, Pamela Green and her husband, Steve, of North Turner; five grandchildren, Shelley Green and her husband, Nick, Ryan Green, Chris White and his wife, Jen, Vonda Folsom and Kim Folsom; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, and Jordan Green, Keegan, Drayton, Morgan and Bennett White, Brandon Shink and Justin Folsom; and a great-great-granddaughter, Mariya Folsom.
She was predeceased by an infant son, Donald; and three brothers, Harland Coolidge, Donald Coolidge, and her twin brother, Earl Coolidge.
