OXFORD – Janice M. Martin, 73, of Oxford, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 9, at her home, with her family by her side.
She was born in Princeton, W.Va., on Aug. 9, 1934, the daughter of Henry Clayton Poole and Elizabeth Louise Stammers Poole. She had been a homemaker all of her life.
She enjoyed deep-sea fishing and brook fishing as well as gardening. She loved cats and she was known as the “Cat Lady.”
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Anderson and her husband, Fred, of South Portland; a grandson, Adam Lee Black; and a very good friend, Joey Figueroa.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Martin.
