LEWISTON – Lucille Yvonne Rybeck, 80, of Auburn, passed away Thursday, June 12, at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by family.

She was born June 18, 1927, in Lewiston, a daughter of Paul and Alexina Brushwein.

She received her education in Lewiston schools.

On Dec. 29, 1945, she married Carl Anthony Rybeck,who passed away Aug. 30, 1986.

Lucille had been employed by K-Mart for numerous years before retiring.

She was a dedicated and caring mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend.

She was very active in her later years and dearly loved her neighbors-turned-family at the Esplanade at Great Falls.

She enjoyed all the activities she found time for, cards, shooting pool, making puzzles and especially get-togethers with family and friends. She was a very proud member of the Red Hat Society and was also a member of the First Auburn Senior Citizens.

She is survived by son Paul, his wife, Deborah, and three granddaughters, Lynn Jurczak, Tammy Knowlton and Katie Ray; daughter, Carla Rybeck; son Karl, his wife, Colleen, and one grandson, Ben; son Peter, his wife, Jackie, and one granddaughter, Andrea Brown; son Anthony, his wife, Kathy, and two grandsons, Justin and Nathan; son Charles, his wife, Denise, and one grandson, Christopher; one daughter, Lisa Caron and two granddaughters, Sarah Raymond and Amanda Caron. She had 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Richard Brushwein and his wife, Gerry.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Laura Caron; three brothers, Fred, Philip and Edward; and one sister, Pauline.
