AUBURN – Donna May Ames, 73, passed away at her home suddenly on Saturday, June 14.
She was born on June 25, 1934, in Bangor, the daughter of Angus and Hilda (White) Kilby. She grew up in Auburn and attended Auburn schools.
On Jan. 3, 1953, Donna Married Richard Thomas Ames and was a homemaker caring for her children and later her grandchildren.
Donna enjoyed shopping, senior citizens on Wednesdays, beano, collecting angels and watching the Red Sox.
She is survived by her husband, Rick, of Auburn; two sons, Scott and his wife, Carol, of Auburn, and Ron and his wife, Julie, of Poland; one daughter, Judy and her husband, John, of Poland; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Kevin, Darcy, Sarah and Kristen; and two great-grandchildren, Tristin and Skyler, whom she loved very much.
Donna is also survived by her sisters, Rosie Laroche, Sandra “Dolly” Jones, and Betty Guimond; a brother, Kenny Kilby; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Lenora Johnson; and by a brother, Robert Kilby.
