ORANGE CITY, Fla – Fernande J. Poisson, 94, passed away on June 4 in Orange City, Fla., where she had been living with her son for the past 1 years. She was born in Auburn on October 19, 1913, the first child and only daughter of Edouard and Emilie Cormier Poisson. On March 29, 1937, she married Lionel A. Poisson. The last years of their married life they lived at Barker Mill Arms in Auburn. Lionel died on July 18, 1984.
A member of Sacred Heart Church, she is survived by her daughter Carmen and husband Raymond LaRue of Auburn, with whom she lived for 7 years; son Normand and wife Brenda of Orange City, Fla.; grandchildren Sheila Libby of Auburn, Carol Tupikow and husband Jurij of Belchertown, Mass., James LaRue and wife Karen of Mechanic Falls, Sonia Dublis and husband Wayne of Deltona, Fla., Danny Poisson and wife Kimberly of Lisbon, Robert L. Howell Jr. of Georgia, and Christopher Howell and wife Gina of Florida; great-grandchildren Elizabeth Kodpuak and husband Neg, Ian Libby, Amy and Jamison Tupikow, Colin LaRue, Camdan and Machenna Poisson, Madeleine Dublis and Kailey and Avery Howell; a brother, Emile Poisson of Lewiston; sister-in-law Gabrielle LaBrecque of Lewiston; brother-in-law Dominique Turmenne of Auburn; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Edward Poisson. We thank her for all the Rosaries she has said for all of us. She was loved and will be missed dearly.
