GREER, S.C. – Barbara Brown Sayward, 73, of 112 Bennington Road, died Monday, May 26, at Greenville Memorial Hospital after a series of illnesses.

She was born Dec. 15, 1934, in Lewiston to the late Donald and Evelyn Cummings Brown. She grew up in Waterford and graduated from Gould Academy as salutatorian. She worked for many years at the Reece Corp. in Gorham. She then moved to South Carolina, to be closer to her daughter and grandsons.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Jim Colson of Greer, S.C.; and two grandsons, Mark and Kevin Colson.
