TOPSHAM – Alice R. Caron, 86, of Bunganuc Road, Brunswick, died Tuesday, May 20, at Amenity Manor, where she had been a resident for three years, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston, on Oct. 18, 1921, the eldest daughter of Adelard and Rosa Roux Dehetre. She grew up in Lewiston and attended schools there. She later earned her GED from Brunswick High School.
She was a seamstress and a tailor and also enjoyed drawing and painting. On June 18, 1945, she married Fernand N. Caron of Brunswick, who died June 23, 1995. She was also predeceased by four sisters and a brother.
She is survived by a daughter, Paulette R. and her husband, Roger Babb, of Brunswick; a granddaughter, Eileen R. Deschenes of Yarmouth; and a nephew, Lionel R. Dehetre of Turner, who was raised as her brother.
