LIVERMORE FALLS – Raymond J. Boivin, 76, a resident of Church Street, Livermore Falls, died late Monday, May 12, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Livermore Falls, the son of Joseph and Alma (Bibeau) Boivin. He was a 1949 graduate of Jay High School. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marines Corps serving in the Korean Conflict in Korea.

On Aug. 17, 1957, he married Yvette Bellmore at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He worked 43 years at International Paper Co. at the Otis and the Androscoggin Mill in Jay, retiring as a customer service supervisor in 1992.

He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church and also served as a lector. He was a member of the International Paper Quarter Century Club and the VFW Frank L. Mitchell Post 3335 in Jay. He enjoyed the Patriots, boxing, loved yard work, traveling, making puzzles and going out to eat.

He is survived by his wife, Yvette of Livermore Falls; three sons, Randy Boivin of Jay, Peter Boivin and his wife, Darolyn, of Canfield, Ohio, and Patrick Boivin and his wife, Chong, of Jay; a daughter, Rhonda Pellerin and her husband, Robert, of Winslow; six grandchildren, Amy Niedner, Matthew and Alex Pellerin, Nicolas and Philip Hutchins and Erin Boivin; two great-grandchildren, Solomon and Mary Lovewell, who were the love of his life; four brothers, Roland Boivin and his wife, Patricia, of North Jay, Philip Boivin and his wife, Marlene, Bernard Boivin and his wife, Phyllis and Robert Boivin and his wife, Karen, all of Jay; and a sister, Louise Newcomb and her husband, Ronald, of Hampden.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Armand Boivin.
