DIXFIELD – Wanda L. Money, 54, of Dixfield, died Wednesday, May 7, after a courageous 15-year battle with luekocytoclasticvasculitis.
She was born in Rumford on Oct. 2, 1953, to Marshall and Norma (Johnston) Glover. She attended Rumford area schools and graduated from Stephens High School in 1971.
She served as an emergency medical technician for the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1979. While enlisted, she met and married Michael E. Money.
She raised four children, whom she loved dearly.
Her hobbies and interests included swimming, gardening and the Rolling Stones.
She is survived by her four children, Kimberly Money of Dixfield, Connie Money of Rumford, Mikey Money of Dixfield, and Christa Money of Mexico.
She is also survived by four grandchildren; her best friend, Connie Thome of Reno, Nev.; and two sisters, Donna Halacy of Rumford, and Lorna “Dee” Packard of Ockachobee, Fla.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Money; two sisters, Rhonda Bourgea and Sonia Breau; and her parents, Marshall and Norma (Johnston) Glover.
Wanda was a free spirit and a kind soul. She was loved by many whose lives she touched and will be greatly missed.
