LEWISTON – Loretta Brule Smith, 86, of Greene, died Wednesday, April 23, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center after a short illness surrounded by her family.

She was born in Lewiston on Sept. 21, 1921, the daughter of Joseph Brule and Alice Martel.

She retired from Webster Rubber in Sabattus, where she had worked for more than 40 years. She loved being with family, playing cribbage and going to bingo with her friends.

She is survived by her son, Larry R. Smith and wife, Connie, of Meredith, N.H.; her son, Michael D. Smith and wife, Dorothy, of Greene; her daughter, Sheila Smith (Clifford) and husband, Leland, of Sabattus; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sons, Robert W. Smith and Gary R. (Buster) Smith; a grandson, Brian Clifford; and granddaughter, Naomi Smith.
