FARMINGTON – Anna Elizabeth Simanek, 96, of Farmington, formerly of New Jersey, died late Sunday, April 20, at the Sandy River Center for Health Care.

She was born on Jan. 8, 1912, in Manhattan, N.Y., the daughter of William and Ellen (Sheedy) Nulle. She attended and graduated from Hackensack High School in New Jersey.

On Jan. 6, 1943, she married Edward L. Simanek Sr. in New Jersey. She was a stay at home wife and mother to her family.

She is survived by her son, Edward “Ted” Simanek Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Weld; a daughter, Candace Schorr and her husband, Donald, of New Sharon; four grandchildren, Kristin (Simanek) Tyler and her husband, Wallace, of Weld, Kara Simanek of Weld, Jennifer (Schorr) Olmstead and her husband, Sam, of California, and Steven Schorr and his wife, Laura, of Jay; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Schorr, Tristan, Piper and Jolyon Olmstead; and a sister, Ellen Cox of Sea Gert, N.J.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; a brother, William; and a sister, Lillian.
