HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Germaine A. Carpentier, 94, a resident of 123 Webber Ave., Lewiston, died Friday, April 18, at Hospice By the Sea in Hollywood, Fla., after a short illness with family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston, May 19, 1913, the daughter of Pierre and Athala (Gagnon) Jean.
She had been employed at St. Mary’s Hospital until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Holy Cross Church, Ladies of St. Anne of St. Louis Church, and New Auburn Senior Citizens.
Survivors include one daughter, Lorraine Rodrigue of Hallandale, Fla.; five grandsons, Daniel Rodrigue of Auburn, Michael Rodrigue and his wife, Doris, Richard Rodrigue and his wife, Therese, all of Lewiston, David Rodrigue and his wife, Melissa, of South Portland and Dean Rodrigue of Miami Beach, Fla.; six great-grandchildren, Dawn Inderbitzen, Matthew, Lauren, Christien, Stephanie and Caitlin Rodrigue; and two great-great-grandsons, Willem and Declan Inderbitzen.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leo, March 11, 1984; and two brothers, Gerard and Reginald Jean.
