LEWISTON – Francoise M. (Fran) Britt 63, a resident of Grove Street, Lewiston died unexpectedly Saturday, April 19, at her residence.

She was born in Lewiston, May 6, 1944, the daughter of Gerard and Liliane (Michaud) Marcotte.

Fran was a 1962 graduate of St. Dominic High School, and she also received her associate’s degree from Westbrook College. After her education, she was a full time mom until her children were grown. At that time, she became an EMT in Windham, and was also an Animal Control Officer in Windham.

Her hobbies included arts and crafts, photography, and painting.

She was passionate about her animals, and will also be remembered for her generosity in giving as well as her outgoing personality and her ability to easily make friends.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick Britt of Lewiston, whom she married July 6, 1993; one son, Gregory T. Doyon and his wife, Elizabeth, of Great Falls, Mont.; one daughter, Celeste Rouleau and her husband, Paul, of Sabattus; one stepson, Scott Britt and his wife, Carole, of West Gardiner; and six grandchildren, Kyle and Alyssa Rouleau as well as Nate, Hannah, Elizabeth and Emelia Doyon.
