AUBURN – Helen F. Jones, 92, a resident of the Andrews Road, Wales, died Thursday, April 17, at Hospice House.

She was born May 3, 1915, in Sabattus, the daughter of Harry N. and Edith Belle (Temple) Fisher. She graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn and also Farmington Normal school in Farmington in 1936.

On Aug. 26, 1951, in Sabattus on the Fisher farm, she married Robert C. Jones. He passed away Feb. 6, 2001. She was a school teacher, teaching in Sabattus, Bowdoin, Ithaca, N.Y., and Massachusetts. She enjoyed picture painting, quilting, writing and genealogy.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Alma Fisher of Sabattus; a nephew, Alden Fisher and his wife, Lisa, of Sabattus; a niece, Rebekah Lane and her husband, Martin, of New Vineyard; many nieces and nephews; three great-great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.
