AUBURN – Annonciade J. Theriault, 88, of Montello Heights, formerly of 43 Franklin St., Lewiston, died Wednesday, April 16, at the Androscoggin Care & Hospice House with her family by her side.

She was born in Tingwick, P.Q., Canada, May 22, 1919, a daughter of the late Armand and Marie Louise Levasseur Landry. She was educated in Lewiston schools, graduating from Lewiston High School, Class of 1938. She enjoyed spending her winters in Pompano Beach, Fla.

She was married to Gerard Theriault, who died Oct. 8, 1981.

She was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, the Ladies of Ste. Anne’s Sodality, where she served as president and was honored as mother of the year in 1990, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Council 106, Lewiston, La Survivance Francaise, Cercle du St. Sacrement, Cercle d’Youville, Marchandes de Bonheur, Dames de Charite, Lewiston Senior Citizens, Holy Cross Senior Citizens, Sabattus Senior Citizens, Covenant 50 and Horizon 55.

She enjoyed playing cards, walking and bowling. She loved her family and friends. She will be remembered for her faith and her devotion to the church.

She is survived by three sons, Maurice and his wife, Diane Theriault, of Lewiston, Richard and his wife, Barbara Theriault, of Auburn and Roger and his wife, Lorraine Theriault, of Greene; two daughters, Diane Fortin and her husband, Gerry, of Raymond and Rachel St. Pierre and her husband, Michael, of Lewiston; 16 grandchildren, Anne Theriault and her husband, Marshall Flowers, John Theriault and his wife, Gina, Andrew Theriault, Joseph Theriault, Christine Burke and her husband, Arron, Jason Theriault and his wife, Barbara, Michael Theriault and his wife, Diane, Adam Theriault and his wife, Dawn, Maria Potvin and her husband, Nicholas, Nicholas Theriault and his wife, Erin, Danielle Theriault, Matt Fortin, Renee Fortin, Brian St. Pierre, Emily St. Pierre and Laura St. Pierre; eight great-grandchildren, Allison and Evan Burke, Alexander Theriault, Emma, Lauren and Anna Theriault, Loreesa and Gerek Potvin; her sister-in-law, Marguerite Landry of Lewiston; and her brother-in-law, Raymond Theriault of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Tony St. Pierre; and a brother the Rev. Maurice Landry, S.M.M.
