FALMOUTH – Adeline Shulman, 89, of Sedgwood Commons, passed away Tuesday, April 8, with family at her side.

She was born in Auburn, May 23, 1918, a daughter of Sam and Annie (Michaelson) Kuslansky. She was educated in Auburn schools, graduated from Bates College in 1940, and remained a lifelong resident of this community, until her move in recent years to Falmouth.

In 1948, she married Morris Shulman, who passed away in 1983. She worked many years in education, as a teacher in the Lewiston school system and later spent some years as a social worker, until her retirement.

Among her favorite enjoyments in her free time were entertaining friends and spending time doing her many crafts.

She leaves her son, Saul Shulman and his fiancee, Jill Marmorek, of Cape Elizabeth; a nephew in Denver, Colo.; and nieces, nephews and a brother-in-law in California.
