CAPE NEDDICK – Gregory M. Castonguay, 26, of Cape Neddick passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 10.

He was born in Farmington, May 4, 1981, the son of Dennis and Suzanne Moreau Castonguay. He graduated from Central Mountain High School in Lock Haven, Pa., in 2000, and the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., with a bachelor’s degree in culinary management in 2003.

He was employed at MC @ Perkins Cove Restaurant in Ogunquit, as chef de cuisine. He loved creating elaborate meals for his family. Greg was an avid biker and he enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors especially skiing, hunting and fishing. He was a hard working, kind, sensitive and caring person who touched the lives of many.

He is survived by his parents of East Orland; a sister, Lisa Emmerling and husband, Brian, of Westerville, Ohio; a brother, Matthew Castonguay of Bentonville, Ark.; maternal grandmother, Madeleine Moreau of Lewiston; his stepgrandmother, Rita Castonguay of Lewiston; and a niece, Kaitlin.

He was predeceased by his sister, Michelle in 2001; maternal grandfather, Bertrand Moreau; and his paternal grandparents, Henri and Germaine Castonguay.
