LEWISTON – Loretta M. Schmidt, 75, Mechanic Falls died Thursday, March 6, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Norway on Sept. 30, 1932, the daughter of Manley and Lula Abbott. She attended school in Mechanic Falls and had been employed at Supreme Slipper and Maine Awards.

Most recently, she had been a cleaning lady at Roscoe’s Rockin’ Railroad Restaurant. She was a member of Excelsior Grange. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and feeding the birds.

She is survived by a son, Jeff Schmidt of Mechanic Falls; a daughter, Sandy; a sister, Eloise Brust of Illinois; and four grandchildren.
