LEWISTON – Monique T. McAvoy, 74, of 2 Tucker St., Lewiston, died Thursday, March 6, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, with her husband and children by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on March 1, 1934, the daughter of Jean-Charles and Carmelle Grenier Boucher. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, and married Francis P. McAvoy on Feb. 15, 1958.

A member of Holy Family Parish, she is survived by her loving husband of Lewiston; two sons, James F. McAvoy and John J. McAvoy, both of Lewiston; a daughter, Mary Waite of Brewer; a brother, Roger and wife, Joan Boucher, of McLean, Va.; three sisters, Jacqueline Letendre of Lewiston, Sister Gisele Boucher of Waterville and Helene and husband, Leo L’Heureux, of Winthrop; and six grandchildren.

Besides her mother and father, she was predeceased by two brothers, Marcel Boucher and Jean-Charles Boucher Jr.; and a sister, Carmelle Brickates.
