LEWISTON – Rebecca Ann Graham died on March 5. She was a much beloved teacher at the Lewiston Adult Learning Center for 22 years.
Becky was a talented teacher of math and English grammar skills. She was especially adept in teaching adults who believed they could not learn. Many of her students went on to successfully complete their GED and enter post-secondary education. Many finished degrees, entered the work force and returned to share their success stories with Becky and other adult education students.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree and was a master’s candidate in Asian Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Before coming to adult education, she spent a year in Qing Hua University in Beijing, China, where she worked as an English instructor.
She will be greatly missed by her many students and colleagues.
She leaves behind her mother, Dorothy Graham; and sister, Mary Alice Fatica.
She was predeceased by father, Russell Graham; and her brother, Gregory Graham.
