PERRYVILLE, Mo. – Lora AnnaBelle DeBoard Brewer, 87, died Monday, Feb. 25, at the Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born June 28, 1920, in Mountain View, the daughter of Louis Lynn and Phronia May (Thomas) DeBoard, who both predeceased her. She married Courtney Elvis Brewer on Aug. 5, 1944, and he predeceased her.
She was the retired owner and operator of Brewer Chain Saw in Perryville. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Woman’s Society, Eastern Star and Perry Dice Boat Club in Perryville and an alumnus of the School of the Ozarks.
She is survived by six sons, Billy Brewer of Perry County, Kevin and Karen Brewer of Charleston, S.C., James Thomas Brewer, Kenneth Brewer, Mark and Carla Brewer and Gary and Tina Brewer, all of Perryville; four daughters, Cynthia MayeBell Brewer and Lt. Col. (Ret.) Phillip McWhorter of Lewiston, Darlene and Gary Weibrecht, Connie and John Lewis and Terrie Leann and Bob Adams, all of Perryville; a stepson, Courtney Darryl Brewer of Perryville; two sisters, Lucy Mildred Dutton of Canton, Ohio and Ola Faye Riley of Fortuna, Calif.; 32 grandchildren including Shannon and Capt. Jon Smith of the Azores Islands, Stephanie McWhorter of San Diego, Calif., Rachel and Ryan Cooper of Lewiston, Amber McWhorter of Provo, Utah, Alex and Jessica McWhorter of Lehi, Utah and Nicole and Ashley McWhorter, both of Lewiston; 19 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Wayne, Warren, Eldon and Weldon DeBoard and a grandson, Joshua MacKenzie Phillip McWhorter.
