NORWAY – Mary A. “Puddy” Tripp, 84, of West Paris, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Bethel on July 18, 1923, the daughter of Patrick and Marion Cordwell Norton. She attended school in Paris and had been employed at Sampson’s Market, B.E. Cole Shoe, Norway Footwear and Penley Mills.
She married Daniel Webster Tripp. He passed away in 1996. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. Her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Wayne Tripp and his wife, Joline, of West Paris; a daughter, Mary Ann Guilford and her husband, Larry, of West Paris; two grandchildren, Todd Guilford and his wife, Lisa, of West Paris and Danell Skinner and her husband, Zachary, of Norway; a great-grandchild, Shelby Guilford of West Paris; five sisters, Hilda Currier and Cay McAllister and her husband, Bob, all of West Paris, Beverly Rosenberg of South Paris, Louise Scales of Kentucky and Elaine Damon of Florida; and a brother, Armand “Sonny” Norton and his wife, Shirley, of South Paris.
She was predeceased by four brothers, John, Linwood, Joseph and Anthony.
