Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners of the New England-wide Sectional Tournament at Clubs game at the Multi-Purpose Center on July 6 were as follows: N/S first, Noralie Cox and Frank Gilbert, second overall; second, Jim Flanagan and Roger Labbe, third overall; third, Sherrie Hincklely and Sally Magee, fifth overall; E/W first, Nancy Farmer and Nancy Lindgren, first overall; second, Dick Allen and Richard Balian; third, Neenie Kivus and David Lock; fourth, Jackie Deschene and Marie Jeanne Lesperance.
The New England-wide Sectional Tournament at Clubs game results with 114.5 tables in play were: Nancy Farmer and Nancy Lindgren, sixth overall in strata B, 2.59 silver points; Noralie Cox and Frank Gilbert, first overall in strata C, 6.71 silver points; Jim Flanagan and Roger Labbe, fourth overall in C, 2.83 silver points.

Summer festival
SABATTUS — The Town of Sabattus will hold a summer festival for residents from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at the Town Hall. There will be a free barbecue, games for children and a fire truck that children can climb aboard.
The festival will be
held rain or shine. Residents should bring a picnic blanket and chairs. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by
an adult.
Church fundraising
LEEDS — The Leeds Community Church will kickoff a series of fundraising events on Saturday, July 18.
The church will hold a community yard sale in the parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ten or more tables are anticipated and the tables will be inside if it rains. The fee for renting table space is $10. For more information, call Sue Jewett at 524-7151.
The church will also host a baked bean and casserole supper that
evening. The cost will be $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
Pints of home-baked beans will also be available for sale during the
yard sale.
