Auburn – Leonora A. “Lenny” Green, 75, of the Station Road in Hebron, died early Sunday morning, Jan. 20, at The Hospice House with family at her side.

She was born in Auburn on Sept. 17, 1932, the only child of Joseph and Ann Sumak. She was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

On Oct. 24, 1953, she married Paul R. Green, who predeceased her on Jan. 22, 1999. She worked for many years in the local shoe manufacturing industry at Consolidated Shoe Counter, until her retirement in 1994. Among her favorite enjoyments were spending time with her children and grandchildren, doing arts and crafts and playing cards and other games with her family. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed going out to eat or simply going out for ice cream. Lenny had a wonderful personality and could always make people laugh without even trying. She was a very good listener and lived for her family, always putting the needs of others ahead of her own.
