LEWISTON – Lucille E. Godin, 74, of 15 Adolphe St., Lewiston died Sunday, Jan. 13, at Central Maine Medical Center after a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston on Sept. 12, 1933, the daughter of Albert and Edwilda (Simoneau) Dufresne and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
She was employed for the past 25 years as a sales director for Mary Kay. Sally Lemieux had recruited her into the company that really changed her life.
She was a parishioner of Holy Family Parish.
She loved to play cards especially Canasta. She enjoyed family gatherings and parties, attending her children and grandchildrens sporting and cheering events, and most of all traveling to visit her family throughout Canada.
She is survived by her husband, Louis “Bert” Godin, whom she married on May 28, 1955 of Lewiston; two sons, Raymond G. Godin and his wife, Sandra, of Minot and Bertrand R. Godin and his wife, Andrea, of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Jeannine Godin and her fiancé, John Levesque, of Lewiston; one brother, Gaston Dufresne and his wife, Claire, of Thomasville, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Amy Vaillancourt and her husband, Greg, of Mechanic Falls, Andy Davis and his wife, Jennifer, of Minot, Justin Godin of St. Louis, Mo., Ashley and Allison Turcotte, both of Lewiston, Casey Godin, Mykala and Nick Cook, all of St. Louis, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Trent and Luke Vaillancourt, both of Mechanic Falls; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a brother, Bertrand Dufresne in 1926.
