RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Harold D. Brown was celebrated Friday at St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church. Monsignor Fernand Pichette officiated. The altar server was Bernard Poirer. The organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections were “Amazing Grace,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Let There Be Peace on Earth” and “Ave Maria” which was sung by his granddaughter Melissa Violette. Readings were done by Arita Zitoli. Gift bearers were daughter Patty Stogsdill, and son Gary Brown. The eulogy was given by son Dennis Brown. Pallbearers were Keith, Scott and John Violette, Matt and Russ Stogsdill and Ehren Brown. Military honors were offered by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program after the service. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Relatives and friends may pay tribute to Harold at www.mem.com.
