RANGELEY – Funeral services for Maurice Thibault were held Saturday at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rangeley, with the Rev. Amelia Hagen presiding.
“Hark, a Thrilling Voice is Sounding” was the opening hymn. The first reading was Isaiah 25:6-9, the second reading was Revelation 7:9-17. Psalm 121 and verses 1-7 of Pslam 42 were recited. The gospel was Luke 14:1-6.
Rev. Hagen offered the homily followed by the communion hymn “King of Love My Shepherd Is.” The closing hymn was “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus.”
Members of Kemankeag Lodge #213 concluded the services with Masonic rites.
Following the services, a reception was held in the church undercroft hosted by the Episcopal Church Women. Louise Doak served as the lay Eucharistic minister and as a reader. June Plummer also served as a reader, with Nancy Ludwig as the organist.
Shirley House assisted with ushering duties. Kent Wiles, Eric Nelson and Rhonda Wiles-Rosell served as pallbearers.
Interment will be in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Rangeley. Funeral services were cared for and provided by the Wiles Funeral Home, Cremation Service, and Remembrance Center, Farmington.
