VAN BUREN – Rene Levesque, 82, of South Paris and Van Buren, died Dec. 7, at a Van Buren nursing home.

He was born in Drummond, N.B., Canada, March 16, 1925, the son of Israel and Henidine (Caron) Levesque. He worked in the refrigeration industry for most of his working life.

He was a resident of South Paris before relocating to Van Buren earlier this year.

He is survived by two sisters, Alexina Godbout LeBlanc of Portland and Diane Cimon of Iroquois, N.B.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rhobie (Jordan) Levesque in 2006.
